well thats just a kick in the nuts. but i guess at this point whats a few more blows right. and i like your whole "no point in getting all pissed and upset" attitude tim. im the same way. when something phucks up no matter how bad it is.. getting all ****ty and bent outta shape doesnt make it fix its self. just makes a bad situation worse. im glad to hear you have it back on track and TDP is getting it back together for ya. hopefully i can make it back down to bowling green for the drags and see it run.

HOLY FREAKIN CHIT! I was thinking that you might have jumped the gun and been a little harsh..... well not any more. That ranks right up there with the flex pipe header, and needs to be made into a motivational poster ASAP. Be thankful that it did happen, and now you can have it done right. The truck will be a different animal because of it.

WOW
I've built stuff like that in my shop, with sub par equipment, taking old tractor parts and making them work...but I've always made it look better than that kinda junk. Do they even own a die grinder?
WOW
That just sucks Tim....glad you found it, and can make it right...too bad you had to find it.

My stuff looks like that, but I didn't pay someone else to do it. Which is also why I don't run a shop, but apparently I could. Anyone want to bring your truck to Dickbeater Diesel, I'm officially open for business as soon as I get back from Harbor Freight.

So if you knew it was that way why did you put it on in the first place?
I've taken some risks on some parts with questionable quality in the past and had to rework them myself, but there is no way I would have ever let something like that go on any of my vehicles as is.

IMHO it has nothing to do with "diesel performance" shops. You can find hack shops in every single form of motorsports.
Motorsports/automotive performance seems to be the worst for this, people with minimal skill and tooling always seem to have this idea that they're going to make it big opening up a shop and do what they "love to do" even though they're no good at it. They usually last for a while, relying on customers that have low expectations and/or don't have much experience with what they're looking at. In my experience the shops usually close after a while because the supply of customers willing to allow the hacks to work on their junk dries up.

That would account for the flange, that doesn't account for the oil drain flange looking like crap though, which would have prompted me to pull the whole setup apart before putting it on to see what the rest looked like.
I would have pulled everything apart before installation anyway, but that's just me.
Regardless, the fabrication looks like crap.

Tim by any chance did the words "TRICK STUFF" come up in the sale/donation or how ever aquired, come up for any of these goods?????
Any vendor of any of these diesel goodies uses the word trick in their description I walk away. I have my self bought some of this trick sheeeet as well and it wasn't worth the freight bill to return it.
