F600 12 decode?

Anyone know what is different in the medium duty truck engines vs. the normal dodge application? I've so far noted the throttle linkage, dip stick, oil fill, and it seems mine has a 3rd gen style oil line (low mount). I'm wondering about the pistons that are in it.

I also have the balancer and pulley from it that are non dodge. Not sure if I can machine groves in the med duty balancer.

I have a 160 sitting here somewhere. What is the difference in these? Looks like another p7100 to me.


Im really curious about the pistons.
 
180hp Dodge Cummins piston is 3802487

All I can find out about the Ford piston is 17.3:1 CR

Maybe the top ring is in a different spot, but either way it should work. Should still have oil squirters, etc.

Pump info from Quickserve

Bosch "P3000" type (EPA/CARB Certified) Fuel Pump for 175 BHP turbocharged/charge air cooled B Series 6 Cylinder Engine at 2500 RPM with peak torque of 420 lbs. ft. at 1600 RPM. Compatible with electric fuel shutoff device. Has RQVK governor and 1.8mm tubing. With FR 9725.

OK, pistons...Dodge is 8mm Top ring, Ford is 10mm Top ring

Ford piston is .3 lbs lighter according to Mahle's catalog...??

No bowl info yet...

Here is what i found out. Looks to me like top ring is 14mm. Bowl same diameter but is a little deeper. The injector part number i found for that ESN is 3919092(3802255) which is 145deg spray angle.

You sure on the top ring? Info I had was 10mm...but that may be bad info:hehe:

that is what it says on the print. whether they are manufactured by the print is a different story. haha I also looked up the print for the part number given for the dodge piston and it said 8mm. so....
