cab and chassis

A 95 cab and chassis has a straight axle just like a fwd. I'm guessing a fwd front axle will swap right in? I also read the automatic transmission has a odd ball transfer case so you can put a pto on them. If this is right will a regular transfer case bolt to them? I'm looking at one a ways away and have never looked under them.

A 4x4 front axle will swap right in.
Not 100% on the trans but I'm sure it's just a normal 47rh so shouldn't be a problem swapping it to 4x4

I thought that was right on the front end. And your right, tranny is easy, I have a extra overdrive out of a fwd laying around. To find a decent fwd dually around here is impossible for a good price. And they are getting old and turn into rust bucket here.
