I usually just use the dial indicator, otherwise spill port method

That's what I thought, you may not be running as much timing as you thought. If you know what the pumps pin timed at make a reference point on the balancer and measure off that.

the problem is almost every one does it wrong from inside the cab because they didn't know how to tune it manually in the first place. which completely negates the purpose of the AFC live devise.

-cool if you know what your doing and swapping parts all the time
-worthless if you are dialed in and have no need to make large changes to the AFC.

18*/5x14s/160 pump/no afc/no plate...this thing is cleaner than the 64.5 SXE that was on it before.

Goes very well. Did 548 on a 224xlc popping the boot at the intake horn, roughly 2300rpm and 30-35lbs of boost. Definitely more there, but the stock clamps said no.

Finally got around to adjusting timing. Goes a little better, gets dropped a bit, spoolup got a little worse. I'd like to tune current setup and see where I'm at. What are thoughts on fuel plate? I think I need to throw one in. If so which plate do you guys think
