How do I shut off the dash board disco???

So all my dash idiot lights are on. Im guessing its from the conversion. Ive had all the codes cleared, but I have no idea how to get them to shut off. What is on is the yellow check engine, brake light and ABS (i think a few burn outs killed the ABS though)

Sounds like a ground issue.
Mine only has the check engine light. I have the other two on right now from the fan eating the wires.

The "fix" depends on your electrical abilities...

The involved solution is to go behind the dash and cut the wires...

The not so involved solution is to place electrical tape over the dash lights...

I haven't got that far on my swap yet, so I'm no help...

How much is unplugged, and what codes do you have? Mine only has two codes, which is No comm. with ECM and APPS voltage low, and no CEL. All I did was unplug the VP and APPS. Yours is a 98 5 spd like mine, so it should be similar.

I could send you some black fingernail polish. It's what I used to used in the 99 Dodge to cover up the lights that wouldn't go off........

Electrical tape will cover it up too, but I really like Anna's fingernail polish idea.

I had to do the Black tape thing on my old blazer. After a while i didnt even notice it. i would love to get into the electronics of the truck and shut it all off, but with 2 ECM's, I realy dont want to mess stuff up. I might do that anna, I can pull out the entire dash board and paint it real nice to look ok.
I might even get the finger nail polish and paint it from the inside!

Oh and the codes i get are, high boost (duh), and 3 codes that can only be taken off by Dodge, not even a dealer can do it. Cant remember what it is but I know thats what is realy keeping all the lights on.

If you feel ghey buying nail polish go buy some black model paint. It really works well in the old truck I never even noticed the paint on there after a few days. Or you can take the plastic off and paint over it on the cluster that would look extra special.

Just pull the light bulbs out... sheez!

Works good on old beaters you try to sell... things sell easier when there's no check engine light
