Will a standard S300 waste gate actuator clear the shock tower or do they have to be modified?
I just tried one and it doesn't intend to go.

Well, to answer my own question, I measures right at 10 inches between the flange on the manifold and the shock tower.

I swapped to a modified gate bracket and intend to try it.

When installing mine the waste gate hit the shock tower. So I took it off to install the turbo then put the tower back on afterwards and the gate clears it

Wish you guys could have been about a day earlier.

I made a new actuator rod and used the shorter bracket. I guess I will keep in mind to use the full bracket next time

I had to shorten one up also on a 2nd gen. The 3rd gen aftermarket turbos have shorter brackets or at least mine did and I had one so I used it and shortened up the rod.
