'98 12V instrument cluster?

Are '98 12valve instrument cluster and 24 valve instrument cluster interchangable?

I see only one visual difference: tahho redline rpm limit : 3000 rpm (12V) versus 3200 rpm (24 valve)

I have spare 24V instrument cluster and I want to install BD Xmonitor directly to cluster.

Do 24V gauges work with 12V ECM ?

Look at the oil pressure and water temp gauges...they're different too!

I don't know if it will work or not!

Chris
I just compared them side by side, (its too late to take pictures, too dark)

Wate temp and oil press is the same, except numbers (units)

My stock oil press gauge numbers : 0 ; 40 and 110 (i think its PSI ), but 24 valve gauge shows : 0 ; 410 and 1030 (??? ,kPA ? or something else?)

Same with water temp gauges :

My stock : 140 ; 190 and 230 (It have to be F)

24V : 60 ; 90 and 100 ( this have to be Celcius)

Also speed readings are different : mine max is 120 mph versus 24V 200 kmph ?

Is my 24V cluster made for Canadian market ?

Do my sensors work with it ?

Well, the one you have was made for Canada! The 12v and 24v Dashes are different!
