First time pulling, what gear to use 48re

Hi everyone, this is going to be my first time pulling and I'm not sure what gear I should be using? It's a built 48re and I have everything in my signature and I don't have proof yet but the truck should be making somewhere around 1000hp. I saw a lot of guys said to use 2nd gear 4hi but I feel like that won't be enough speed to get the sled moving so I was guessing third would be a better pick. Any advice would be awesome, Thanks!

I am saying with the twins you should be able to hit drive in 4 low and hold it, unless you run a crazy big tire. To run 2nd gear low range you need some rpm

I run drive. I found out recently my smaller tune that dynoed 850hp pulls better then my 1250hp tune which seams to flood my S475 and I fall under the charger.

Yeah let it go to drive with 373 and 33s. Second gear locked you will be pegged on rpm looking for more speed

depends on the type of tracks you'll be hooking on and how long they usually let you run. round here with this outlaw street class. its usually a 350-425' track. pretty boring stuff.
