I just put a 8600 pump on my pulling truck with a new gear and their is a supercharger like wining noise now

I thought it was and it was at first but i had it machine down and the problem still there pulled it back apart and no rubbing

Are the gears meshed right? If it's a substantial noise I would call Scheid in the morning

What did the old gears look like?

Mismatched gears can whine pretty loud if one is wearing into the other...

these pumps usually run self contained oil. does it have oil in it?

Yes it has oil in it and i sold the old gear i had with my 13mm pump

have you contacted the pump builder? have you observed other trucks with an 8600 from the same builder? have you checked gear backlash? are you experiencing any performance issues? these pumps make a good amount of noise on the stand by themselves, without witnessing it, hard to say. i know a 17mm billet pump by itself on the stand sounds like a small block revved out.
