Modifying 4.62" flange to HX40 style
Can anyone tell me or have pictures of what all it takes to modify a S400 4.62" downpipe flange to a HX40 style?
Thank You!

I put one on a brake lathe and turned it down, i just measured as best I could for the angle and thickness where the clamp sits

The 4.62 is a much better flange with more sealing surface. What is the reason for the switch?

I am swapping to a larger housing, but the original used a hx40 style downpipe. I was trying to save some money on modifying the DP.

Not a big fan of the HX40 flange on s400 turbos for the reasons mentioned earlier. They dont have much meat on S400 housings.

I can assure you that you would eventually regret that decision. Modify the DP. Thats super easy.

So does anyone make a decent priced downpipe with the 4.62 flange on it? or a decent flange that isnt $100?

See I’m in the opposite boat. My s400 has an hx40 outlet, but my downpipe I’m running is 4.62”. So I just used an adapter.
