FCA question

Can FCA's get stuck open or close causing a no start situation and little to no rail pressure?

monitor FCA Milliamps while cranking, 1700 Ma is basically staying closed, if Ma are dropping and rail pressure is not increasing you have a high pressure fuel leak. If it stays at 1700Ma during cranking, change the FCA.

Get the at the Cummins dealer or get a hold of me, I have a few extras. The dealership is a rip off!

Thanks lavon, I'll test milliamperes today. Replaced the FCA yesterday and no change, plugged in or unplugged...still doesn't make pressure at the rail. Pulling my hair out right now haha

What work was done to cause a no start? Check for excessive fuel return if the FCA is good.

CP3 to injectors is all stock with 130xxx miles on it. Truck sat about week for chassis work, went to start and ran for 2 seconds, then died. Now all it does is crank. Low pressure is 8-10psi while cranking. Rail pressure fluctuates between 1000-1500psi while cranking.

Injector return is going to be verified by a shop Monday. Truck also threw a p0251 which led me to believe FCA...thanks for the help
