Parting an insanely rusty 2003 Dodge, regular cab, 4x4, 2500, with an automatic.
Has the ultra rare diesel sprinkler system option, between the filter housing and the CP3, just turn the pump on and you now have a diesel weed killer, at the flick of a switch!

This thing is SO rusty, it rusted the oil pressure sender off and lost the oil at a mere 130,000, causing a gopher to start making a request to come outside (knocks on 5 or 6).
Transmission pulls, transfer case changes gears and 4wd seems to work.

I'll sell you anything off it you want, but it is oh so terribly rusty.

48RE transmission, pulls and shifts, with converter, $750.

271D transfer case, works in all ranges, $450.

Engine, runs but gopher lives inside, as it sits, diesel sprinkler system INCLUDED, with all accessories, flywheel forward, $1500, or will piece out.

Axles, 3.73 gears if you can handle a LOT of rust, $175 for either end.

Truck was from PA and was used EXCLUSIVELY as a plow/salt truck since basically new and it's so rusty, it has HOLES in the bottoms of the frame, under the cab.

I will post some pics tomorrow.

I was half the day getting tools to get the oil sender out, so it wouldn't spew oil all over.
Then once I did get it fired up, which happened just before dark tonight, I find out it has a tenant and a sprinkler system.

Update: The engine does NOT have any knocks!

Turns out, even though it had recent (mileagewise) injectors, it has a faulty injector that's dumping fuel above a certain RPM.
It doesn't knock at idle, or slightly above idle, which was why I looked further into it.

Engine does crank over nice and even, but it does also have just a slight touch of blowby.

Transmission was at least serviced (It's clean, maybe rebuilt?) at 82,000 miles, truck now has right at 135,000.

The truck also has a crack-free black dash top and windshield to dash overlay in it.
