12x1.75 tap needed...

But I need the 6" long tap. Can one of you guys or engine builders tell me where I can get one? I had one sent to me but it was the shorter 3and3/8" version...
And I already google searched too many times to count. Everyone has the short ones, no one has the long...

It is a pulley plug tap. Can I use this for bottom tapping (stud with head on block)...????

use your short tap to start the threads then gind the tip of the long tap down so that it will tap all the way to the bottom

I took my reg length one and brass welded a 1/4" drive ( I think it was a 8mm) socket and extension to it to get the longer length.
See if this works

trik-

I used one off that website after Jeff K pointed me to that site.

Used the same tap on CQuestad's truck when I helped him out about a month ago when he bottom tapped his block.

I'm out of town until Wednesday so if you can wait I can get you the part number when I get back home.

Nope, have fun with them.
12V timing tools and a fuel cap I use to pressurise the system instead of pumping the stupid little primmer.
I see my picture disappeared ( I suck at this computer stuff ) How do I edit a post?
