Fuel issue

OK, heres my problem. My truck has been dying on me when I put it in drive or reverse. Most of the times in park or neutral it will idle OK, well normal for my truck. Usually around 500 rpm. I know that I can adjust that. I have an aftermarket fuel pressure gauge and it is reading nothing over 10 PSI most of the times it is just above 0. I am thinking the lift pump. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Turn up the idle. 500 is not normal.

Try about 700 and see how it works.

You do need to raise the idle.

Are you still running the stock lift pump? If so, you should be seeing mid-20's idling and more at 2K rpm. Sounds like a bad OFV or lift pump.

Is it doing this all the time or only when the engine is cold? Either way it's due to low idle. Sounds like your fuel pressure is an issue as well.

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Start with the idel screw and if that don't fix it change the filter then the over flow valve never start by spending money.
