Jake, I was poking around online a while ago and found some complete FDS75s in Toledo, I think it was at Goodys/lkq. Probably still a drive for you but it had me thinking about it.

For the guys running 6.20 axle gears, what drop box bull ratio are you running? Looking at 2.421 box with 5.29 axle gears which works out so you can over/underdrive the same gear sets. 6.20 doesn't work quite as nice.

I think most guys that are running SCS are running 2.421 with 6.20s. One of the issues with SCS is you can't flip them like you can a Profab. For example if you're running a 12:1 final and you flip them you're running almost a 18:1 if I recall correctly.

You can flip them if you have the correct rear axle gears. From all my math the 2.42 and 4.88/5.29 seem to work quite well, its just like pulling teeth to get 4.88s for an F106, so I have found out.......

That looks to be correct, and like bigstacks said, with 5.29 you can flop them around for extra choices. Anyone ever broke a lot of parts at 5.29 axle ratio?

When I look at the ratios using the 2.421 gears in the drop box these are what you get when you flip them:
6.20 Rears: 12 or 18.8 final
5.29 Rears: 10.2 or 16 final
4.88 Rears: 9.45 or 14.75 final
Still seems like a big jump compared to a Profab when you might go from 11.5 to 12.5 when you flip them.
If you are looking to stay in a lower gear range like 13.5-15 to 1 it seems like it would work better. I think you can also switch the static drop box gear ratio pretty easily too.

A 5.29 axle ratio with a 2.421 box, with a 1.00, 1.032, and 1.065 gearset yields 5 choices ranging from 13.63 to 12.02 final ratio. Plenty of choices, 6.20 certainly wouldn't allow for flipping them is what I mean

Running a 1.64 bull gear in the box and a 1.032, 1.065, 1.100 QC gears and 7.17-7.20 r&P allows you to flip them as well for more choices. It's only a couple tenths mph off what 2.421 and 4.88 gears are. That is if my math is correct. Anyone know of any downfall of running 7.20 ring and pinions? I'm with Dave, 4.88 is near impossible to find for the 106 chunk.
Another question. Does anyone know what pan and pickup tube I need to run front sump on a 6.7 block? The factory pan is not reversible without modification. Looking at it looks like it would be trickey to get it to seal good if modified to work. Also has different pickup tube flange than old 4bt stuff.

I just saw a 4.63 f106 rp on fleabay, takes a different carrier though too doesnt it? I'm trying to figure out what to do with my junk without dropping 15k and change everything at once.

I believe the carrier split is 4.88 and down take the same. Above 4.88 take the same.

Yeah the carrier split is 4.88. Which currently has me doing this
I have 5.29 in the rear and would like to overdrive the front a bit. I have the gears but now 4.88-down carrier. Proformance pros claims they have never seen one. They are out there but hard to find.
I think they came in the F106-based planetary axles that were used in forklifts, loaders, etc.

Not 100%sure on the 106 rear axles but this is all the ratios the FDS 75/90 came with. Here is a link to some good Rockwell FDS information in case anyone needs it.

Randomly remembered this morning we have a 1962 F600 laying in the weeds at the farm, took a look underneath and found what I think is a 106 rear, but no luck on a tag, where should it have been? May end up using this for a hybrid like Dave did at this point.
