That's crazy. They coat inside or both?

I have one on my S366 on my duramax. Cant say i noticed much on spool but underhood temps are way down! You can drive for a hr and lay your hand right on it!

Some places will, but the tight radius bends are hard to get good adhesion too, and it's hard to get good coverage.
Also, I've done a lot with ceramic coated exhaust for work and it does not change the outside temp much. We wanted to use it to avoid heat shields in certain area's and it made less than a 10% difference on radiation and convection. Conduction measured the same as before within the tolerance of the gauge.
Just some info.

I thought maybe the ceramic would offer a smoother air path giving a less restrictive flow.

Levi's turbo blanket 😁
The ceramic coating is applied so thin it does nothing to smooth out the part. If it's rough casting it will still be rough after coating. I primarily coat to prevent rust. Like mentioned, the part will still be hot to the touch

The coating swain tech uses is .015 think.
It is a rough coating.

Picked up s400 and w/g s300 blankets this spring. Haven't really drivn it much since, and heading to track tomorrow night to see if it helped at all. Of course quicker spool and help keeping on top the chargers going down the track would be awesome, but I'm mostly after getting cooler air into the engine with my setup

Reading this thread made me get a couple turbo blankets - well made, custom fit.
Will get an exhaust blanket next week (already coated the inner surface with Eastwood's "inside spray")

I'm glad you're happy with them so far.
I tend to let these threads run their course if there isn't a bunch of mis-information but if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help.

Well, I got that exhaust blanket, as well as a slick wrap for the cobra pipe.
This stuff is well made & test fits great. Premium components throughout.
Can't say enough about how Levi got all the hot pipe measurements from me & shipped the next day.
