Project #braaapptruck

I picked up a 94' single cab 5spd cheaaappp...the truck has 622k on the clock...so the build began...

I picked up a firepunk 47re from a guy on here. The plan is 5x.018s and 467 I have laying around.

We completely rebuilt the front end with a 3" drop. changed rearend to a dana 80 with a locker and a belltech lowering kit.

I believe so if done correctly. I considered cutting the rivets. But I didn't want bolts holding the frame together.

Should be a fun ride! I have seen many frames shortened that way with good results... That's how we'll be doing mine when we do the short bed conversion in it...

The FSM says Grade 5 or higher bolts is adequate for replacing rivets. I certainly wouldn't be afraid of bolts, they hold everything else together on a truck.

Some updates....I'm still waiting on the manifold so I can install turbo...I don't have the bed on, but I got it back running...fuel lines, brakes etc...
