Engine harness ground

Haven't been able to figure out exactly where the engine harness is supposed to be mounted everywhere, but think I have it tucked up out of the way enough to be safe.

Looking at these two ground wires (I'm really assuming these are grounds).

Where do these hook? I think one hooks to the motor mount (which I think starter look hooks there too) but where does the other hook to?

Any other pictures on wiring harness is cool too. Thanks guys

Almost ready for first startup. Have to run tranny lines to coolers, install my gauges, install exhaust manifold/turbo, button up the ac, and then change tranny filter and fill fluids.

Hopefully this weekend or next. Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.

See that stud on the ecm, by your hand?
1 hooks there, the other goes to one of the bolts that the L shaped bracket, located near the filter assembly, bolts to, which also supports the crankcase vent tube assembly.
Doubled end is by the vent tube mount.

I'll try to get pics.

Mark.

This is the general idea, but the rear part is supposed to be a stud.
WITH THE BRACKET IN PLACE, the doubled wire goes in screwed under the stud, then the vent tube support, and then the nut.
ALSO, if you have an '06-'07 5.9, with the PLASTIC ecm mount, the "free" ground is studded, if it's ALUMINUM, it's bolted to a separate point, as you see in the pic, on the ecm mount.

ECM mounts.
Left is plastic '06-'07, right is aluminum '03-'05.
Note the spare hole for ECM grounding on the right one.

Awesome thanks a lot!

Mine is plastic. I was just thinking about if it was plastic, it must get a ground from the engine harness OR from a ground bolted directly on it. So, I guess that ground bolted on the ecm is responsible for providing the ecm ground yeah?

I'll have to find the bracket you're talking about, got a pic of it by chance?

I've got one bracket left, but don't think it goes there.

Really, really appreciate the help guys!

Pic of the bracket is attached.
Personally, I don't see what purpose it is used for.
