Caterpillar lift pump
I have a 06 CR, buddy of mine told me about Caterpillar making a Lift pump that could work. That was a alternative to the obvious FASS or Airdog. If there is what would be the part number. What would the GPH be?

Not really sure why Cat would do that... But maybe he's thinking on of Aeromotives setup as it comes with CAT filters. But it is pricey compared the FASS and AD. Clicky

They're a gear pump, they flow a bunch. It's probably easier to do a waterman kit.

It would be a electronic motor that power it kind of like a fuel transfer pump. Dose any body know the spec on one of those pumps. IF they flow more than AD or FASS? And if so what would be a part number.

Ditto. The tier 4's use a pretty reliable electric pusher for the added fuel need of the aftertreatment regeneration device(ARD).

The part number you have there is for a primer that goes either on top of the filter housing or mounts to block on c7-c32 engines.
The base you have there is probably a 164-9766, 190-8970, or 217-7455 and is simply a base marketed for air removal. Not a pump unfortunately.
If you're looking for an alternative electric fuel pump you'll be hard pressed to find one that will keep up and be cost effective.
If you're curious though, take a look into 241-4016 and 383-1608. The first pump is used in a few tractors and supports up to an 11l from what I've read, fairly big though and not sure of the regulated pressure if any. The second is probably way too big but just throwing out ideas at this point.
At the end of the day I still think you would make out cheaper and better off with Fass. Just my opinion though.

Maybe just call up a dealer and ask then if they have any electric lift pumps that support 9-11l. Over shoot a little that way you know it'll provide the flow you need.

My work truck (cummins ISX) has some kind of a lift pump but I really haven't had time to try and find it or get a part number... I say it has a lift pump, something it humming along the fuel line area when I turn on the key but not start the truck. I hear it but can't seem to locate the exact area (to many trucks running beside me), but it seems like it might be incorporated into the fuel filter housing...
I always thought it might be a good candidate for it's turned up little brother... but maybe fuel flow isn't enough...

That's what I thought, and why I was trying to find more info on it. I used a prefix for a 745C.
If memory serves, that pump also drives the ARD though?
