im using a hx50 temporarily until i get my twins built. does anyone know what size vband clamp is used for the exhaust and where i could find one.

Likely off of an L10. Go to your nearest cummins dealer and see if they have a clamp for that dinosaur. It is most likely in the 5" configuration so they will likely have one.
