Time for DV's? Also 10% off at PDD
Hey guys, I have some new injectors on the way. Was gonna get some 370 marine's to save some money, and then the day I was going to place the order, I noticed Power Driven Diesel was having a Memorial Day Sale, 10% off most of their products. I took it as a sign from God himself to not get the marines.
Ordered some of PDD's Budget Build series 5x0.014 VCO injectors instead.
So now my question, will my stock 131 delivery valves in my 160hp P-pump create a problem? I know for the marine 370's, some say low rpm chatter could occur with 131 DV's. Does this happen with the 5x0.014's? I found a set of 191's for about $75, just can't find a definitive answer if they are worth the money, or if the money is better spent elsewhere (like towards a new turbo).

181s out of a stock 180/215 are cheap and move plenty of fuel for a street truck.

The issues with the '94-95 engines running the marine injectors has nothing to do with the delivery valves.

What caused the issues? The pumps cam profile?

Yes I would prefer 181's. I can't seem to find any. Been scouring craigslist and cummins classifieds. Even ebay doesn't have any 181's, only 191's.
These are the 191's I was considering http://www.ebay.com/itm/191-PERFORMA...5YyzNB&vxp=mtr, they're actually only $45.00.

I wouldn't recommend running cheap knock off stuff in your pump, but that's just me.

The marine 370s are 155 degree spray angle and stock 94-98 pistons are 145.
