It hurts me to look at modular cabs any more. I always thought one of those little 38" areocabs would be neat for local work.

We had 3 of those before they came out with the extended daycab. Were never slept in, just an expensive coat rack.

I just don't know what I really want yet. I have the extended daycab and hate it. Really need a bunk for the shuck & jive with the log book to make a good living with today's cut throats out there. I stay fairly local but do run out a few states away fairly often. My local day might consist of 5-6 pieces of equip. over about 800-1000mis. Sleeper would be nice for those escorted runs so I wouldn't have to find a place to lay the load down and unhook for a motel.

I'm the same way, next truck will have a sleeper. Probably never use it but it looks good on a logbook(s) and a 260"+ daycab looks goofy. I'm very picky and can't find used with the right specs. I have the AG460 now and want to try the AG400L since the Pete guys can actually get weight on the steering and I need the 54" drive spacing. My permit calls for 17,000 on the steering. I couldn't get that if I put a coil on the deckplate. Lol

I'm not sure what the ag400 and ag460 means exactly, but I have seen some KW's with the Pete flexair suspensions under them.

The AG380 is very similar to that, the AG400L is close to the international Z spring.

All those stand for KW suspensions.

You ever look into having one built with a neway? Wonder how much better it would transfer.

The only Neway setup i drove got around surprisingly well, unless you hung it on a rut. Probably one of the only air suspensions tougher than air leaf too. The Hendrickson air ride works real well too, looks similar to low air.

They're exactly the same. They removed Peterbilt from the castings that bolt to the frames and they say Paccar now. The FlexAir is the AG380 (won't carry chit, only rated for 38,000 and I've been told they carry 80psi with 34,000 on the drives where a 400 or 460 carry's 60psi) The AG400L is the Low Air Leaf. I HATE HATE HATE the way they are torque reactive (lift when you step on the pedal) but when I had 57,000 on my drives and only had 13,000 on the steering and the guy behind me had 16,000\45,000 I need to change something.

Bullrack is this the truck you were talking about.

That's the one, I should just go buy it I guess. I'd be more happy with that than my extended daycab.

Nope, haven't called yet. Figured if it's still for sale after the 1st, maybe it's the one! I really need another one right now, got a great driver in a Mack that sure would like to crawl into my daycab.
