So a few weeks ago I got into a fender bender and bent the center link?? On my 96 3500.. Found the part #'s to upgrade everything to "T style" Got everything painted and ready to go on today and when I went to install it appears tie rods are about an inch too long. Knuckles are just under 59 and some change apart if I can rememeber thats with my dad and I eye balling front tires & tie rod assembly is almost 62. Has anyone had to cut down their tie rods for this upgrade?? AC Delco parts from Rockauto

Yes when I upgraded to the 98-99hd steering on my 96 I had to cut the driver side if I remember right.

Okay thanks! Steering is an unknown territory for me & I got it all hung up today and was like what the heck is going on

Thanks, ended up having to cut tie rod ends and drag like about 1/2 inch on each side. Be been waiting on adjustable track bar for almost 6 weeks
