Notching/Trimming the bell housing on 4r100

Hello,

I have a dodge 2500 / cummins 6.7 and it has a fleece coolant bypass that I am trying to put a bts 4r100 but of course it wont go without some trimming. Does anyone see anything wrong with notching the bell housing out a bit to make it fit? I already did the adapter plate.
