It won't crank over
03, new ignition switch, I can start it by turning the key to run and arc the starter. No security light, grounds all check out, starter relay tested good, replaced just in case and same results.
Wtf am I missing here?? Some tell me it's the starter, I don't see how if it starts it, why isn't power getting there?

Do you have 12V at the purple wire when you are in the crank position?
Take ignition switch out. Rotate by hand, does it crank then? If so you have the switch timed wrong in the housing.
If not, see if you have power out of ignition switch. If you do, start tracing the solenoid wire for an open.

That'll do it.
Makes you want to pull your hair out, don't it?
Mark.

Just up from the small terminal on the starter. When I went to take it loose I found out the terminal on the starter solenoid had actually broken off the starter.
I like this truck but it's funny the only issues I've had are the things that GM does.. WIRING NIGHTMARE!
