That's normally what I've heard of. I had one at 260. But 300.... That's pretty sweet!

Awesome build!

Will any of this change cubic inch or will it remain the same?

Glad to see this build move on to the assembly stage, I'll be planning a trip up your way to watch it on the rollers when it's back in the truck.

Poor Carlos is in for one helluva ride this year!

Cubic inch stays at true 6.7L. The longer rod with deckplate setup will lessen the rod angle and save the stress on the rod bearing. Last years standard billet rod 6.7 engine showed a lot of rod bearing wear after the season from the constant 2000+ ft/lb TQ beating it recieved.

What about the weight of the rod? How much heavier than carillos or R&R rods?

Did the head start life as an OEM head?

Yes sir started as a stock 6.7 head. This is our Max effort head so far. It only flows this on the larger bore like the 6.7, This is one of the biggest reasons we wanted to stay true bore 6.7. It is much easier to sleeve them down for the strength, but after you drive a true 6.7 it is hard to step backwards.

Any reason for this? Wouldn't you have a greater chance of it living with lower compression.

This is a street truck so drivability is important, that would be my guess.

Correct, ultimate drive ability is the reason for stock compression. Drew delivered the assembled engine today, he's still finishing the billet valve cover while we get it in the truck. It's a work of art!

Great work, at first glance you don't even notice the deck plate on the finished motor.
