Help with Autocal uploading a tune - Competition Diesel.Com

I bought an Autocal with a Tow Delete tune. The instructions start with “Once you have unlocked the ecm”. How do I unlock the ecm? The instructions don’t say and apparently the Autocal has the ability to unlock the ecm so I don’t need a separate device. Anybody used one of these on a 13-17 Cummins?

Just flash the tune onto the truck. It will unlock the ecm during the flash if it has one of the few recent software updates. If it is from a tuner who is running old software for whatever stupid reason then you will need and edge or bully dog to unlock it.
