1993 Ram 350 Dually Ext Cab 2wd

Hey guys, dont know where to post this at but i'm needing some input. Got an offer to buy a 1993 Dodge d350 for $2k. Needs rockers, cab corners, floor boards, and the frame patched. Motor/trans good. rest of the truck is in really good shape. He has all the parts to fix it and go with it. Don't know the exact mileage, but i dont believe it's over 150k. Will need a paint job!

With all that being said, is this thing worth $2,000? And what would something like that sell for after it's fixed up?

That sounds way too rusty to save, especially if you're having to patch the frame to "save" it.
I'd buy it for 2k and part it out.

Mark.

With a list of needed patches like that, I don’t think “rest of the truck” belongs in the same description. I wouldn’t spend more than $1600 on a rusty p pumped truck, even then I wouldn’t keep anything off of it.
Did that once, and 80% of the bolts I touched had to be drilled out. NEVER again.

You’d be money and time ahead coming down south and getting a better truck.

Guy local to me bought a early 70's 2wd dually, gas truck of course and swapped out a donor complete drivetrain from a rusty truck.

Turned out a neat truck, he made the swap look factory.

Tell you what, I'll buy every $1600 p-pumped truck, with the engine/trans. still in it, that you can find me for $1600 apiece.
It can be so rusty that the oil pan's leaking, I don't care.

Mark.

My 91 12v seems to be in better shape than what you are describing, and it’s a beat up old farm truck. Paid $500 for it back in the day.
New clutch and 6 tires will easily put you over $1500 on total investment. Front ends on these trucks suck. They eat ball joints and ride like tanks.

Walk away for $2,000
