47rh trans case cast number 238-1 and 238-2

I have 5 47 rh in my back room right now and 4 have the 238-2 number cast into the bell housing and one has 238-1. All have the 3 pin connectors.

Anybody know what that number is ?

It is the cavity number of the die.

Maybe that’s why one case has 3 tabs instead of 4
