New Quad high HP box for 2nd gens

I've been alpha testing quadzilla's new high hp box for a couple of months now. It's a USB updatable box designed to compete with the TST COMP and Drag comp. It also has gauges and a turbo timer built in as well. In my testing so far I can say that the bottom end is stronger than the TST/Smarty stack I've been running and the top end is just as strong as that stack. This box fuels so hard on the bottom end that it actually bogs my motor all the way through first gear. Not a good thing I know but quad and I are working on it. For guys with smaller injectors it shouldn't be a problem. I haven't had a chance to add the smarty to it as there are a couple of little bugs we are still working on and I wanna make sure that we work on the bugs that the box has first before I start adding something soon. Quad is getting ready to do some beta testing so anyone interested needs to get a hold of him. I just thought I'd let yall know that the VP trucks haven't been forgotten about quite yet.

With my limited experience with a drag comp it's at least just as strong but don't quote me. My butt o meter might not be as accurate as other's and I don't have a lot of seat time with a drag comp.

What do you mean by it bogs your engine all the way thru 1st gear. Have you dynoed this box yet ?? Did you run the truck on a drag strip yet. A couple of months testing and you can't really say what this box does with any facts to back it up.

Easy buddy. I'm in college and commute 500 miles a week and my weekends are booked solid with things to do (weddings, work, etc) so drag strip and dyno time is hard to come by. I'm gonna try and get on a dyno in the next couple of weeks and get to the track. Right now I'm doing driveability testing for quad. As soon as I can get to the strip and dyno I will report back.

As far as bogging through first gear, what else do you want? All it does is smoke and can't light the charger up until 2nd gear. This box is very heavy fueling on the bottom end. My TST/Smarty stack doesn't bog like that at all. It will light the turbo before the top end of 1st gear. Now this is with no boosted launches. I'm a little scared to try a boosted launch seeing as how I'm still on stock shafts until after august.

Like I said, I'm sorry I haven't gotten to the dyno or drag strip yet but I'm working hard to get there. We are still having a couple of little tuning issues that I want worked out though before I go (to much timing, low end shudder) so that way I can get a good idea of how it compares.

Before you start thinking that I'm just some guy on here that's pushing quad's box I'm not. I'm just an honest guy who wanted to try something different and give yall some information about the box. I love my TST/Smarty stack and to say that this box is better is very hard for me to do.

I do know one thing, this box doesn't shudder the injection pump like my TST COMP does when you let out of the throttle which is a huge bonus IMO.

Yup. Turns out my oil pressure sender decided to have a brain fart when it dropped to 0 psi. So needless to say I added 2 gallons of oil to a pan that was already full.

Yeah but one of my buddy's broke the handle off while we were tinkering on the engine and I hadn't gotten around to getting a new one. I figured it was low on oil because my engine had been puking oil everytime I had gone WOT for over a week at that point. Got that problem figured out as well. I hate being broke.

Quad already knows about everything so I ain't to worried. It was actually the box's fault that the motor was puking oil. To much timing. Got that worked out and it's full speed ahead. Got one more program to try before he does a full beta test. Don't worry, I ain't as dumb as I sound.

Ehh. It was a dumb move and I knew better but this is my only mode of transportation and I panicked. Oh well. Nice to know that the truck will self purge.

wildwood, this box definately has the low end your looking for. Or at least it used to. This new program tuned it down. Went from being like smarty on level 5 to smarty on level 3.

thats what i was not wanting to hear. cause iam tring to norow it down to smarty or this new box. i dont sled pull,or drag. haul a 35ft 5er around and would like the extra pull on the low end for getting moving in the sand.

Personally, it can make all the HP in the world, but if you can't drive it, what's the point!
