FASS motor (original design w/brushes) is dead. Anyone know a source I can buy just the motor from. I need it ASAP!

Thanks,
Tim

Try this ... mine did it .... pull the end caps out ... blow out the wholes, spray in some type of electrical connection spray, then stretch the springs a bit and turn the brushes 180* I did that 20K a go when the truck went down 50 miles from home on a Saturday afternoon knock on wood its still going strong.

Had to pull brushes three times yesterday. This morning I pulled the cap, and when pulling out the brush, the wire broke.

Hey Mike, I tried that # and it's out of service. Guess I'm gonna have to wait till Monday to order a replacement pump.

I dont have a FASS, But cant you just get some replacement bruches? I know ACE harware sells a big assortement of brushes. Find one thats the same size. Or find one thats bigger and file it down. It should buy you some time.

Aaron, I may need a ride Tuesday afternoon if you are free. Gonna try to get pump motor overnighted to Noble's for Tue. I drove it up there from work with no fp. Hopefully I didn't damage the ip, it was only a couple of miles.

There is an update for some of the older FAS systems, not sure of the specifics, there is a thread here somewhere about it. I just had mine replaced for free. Try Diesel-Dan, he got me mine the next day....
