Turbo oil feed line size ? is -AN4 big enough?
What do you think?
Could a -AN4 sized oil supply line to the turbo cause premature failure?
Seems like the inside dimensions on the line is 1/8" maybe?

Yes -4 lines will kill a turbo. -6 is perfect and you wont have any issues. I have killed a couple turbos myself with -4 lines.

Why not just use the stocker?

Don't have it anymore. Used it on the excursion. I've got some -AN6 hose and fittings, I'll have to make one up. Just need to order the fitting for the turbo.
Thanks Bean, this was an expensive lesson...
I could not figure out why the turbo went south with only 2000 degree EGT's and no drive pressure. All my drive pressure was blowing out my external gate mount that split open. Pulling my hair out trying to figure out why the turbo got trashed...
My last set of twins used -AN4 lines so that's what I used for the single...

Or just go get a hydraulic line made. 1/4" npt and 1/8" npt on the other end if I remember right.

Just called the local Massey dealer and then can make one up if needed. Hadn't thought about that route before...

I usually take the stock fittings and drill them out as big as I can w/o getting it to weak as well especially on CR fittings, those neck way down. You dont want to starve the turbo but also you dont want too much oil then it could get by the piston ring on the ex side and burn oil. -6 Seems to just perfect for the majority of the turbos we run on these trucks.

That doesn't look very good Jesse. I am looking forward to seeing what you get to replace it.
