04 CR rebuild parts questions

Rounding up the parts to go through my 04 305 CR.. Going with 12v rods, main studs, hamiliton cam, qsb coated 480s etc.. my main question is for all of you guys that have been down this path already.. whats your thoughts on the bearings and gaskets.. OEM or aftermarket? I talked to Jeff "Snedge" and said he has had great success with using aftermarket.. Just want some opinions before i pull the trigger.. Price diff is about $500 i believe..
