Software beta testers needed for 'Anteater'

Not able to run the setup, everytime I try it tells me cannot continue the application is improperly formatted, contact the application vendor for assistance. I've been working with Brandon on getting it resolved for a couple of days now. Gotta be something with my lap top

I can't run nothing. Beta, old, new. Computer won't let me download it, I click on run setup to download the dash and that's as far as it will let me go. Pisses me off because I bought this new windows 7 lap top just so I wouldn't have any issues lol. Didn't quite work out for me

Got it figured out, java wasn't allowing it to download. Had to delete Java and restart the computer then it downloaded

Yeah, I was cussing Brandon because while my phone was loading the post he messaged what was wrong.

I can't do drivers on work computers, it will be a bit.

The sure bet is to open device manager, plug in the ant, watch for what it adds, then right click and tell it you have the drivers. Point it to the driver file.
It should then ID as something Anteater related.

When I right click it I get 3 options. Create shortcut, troubleshoot, or properties. When I go into properties or troubleshoot I don't see anyway to point it to the drivers

The beta software that was installed will work with the generic drivers that Microsoft released for the USB Serial port. With your up-to-date Windows 7 install, it should know what to do without additional drivers.

If for any reason the thumb drive won't download, I believe you can download the dash on Firepunk's website. IIRC.

LOL Sorry for the troubles! We will get it working! There are two entry points to the Windows device manager. One path doesn't use the admin permissions and will result in the driver properties being disabled. The other path (right clicking on My Computer and using Manage) should open the device manager with administrative permissions.

Sheeeeeewwwweee. Finally got it with your last post. Thanks a lot you guys really appreciate it

so from what I read through this thread, the anteater likes static adjustment best. around 80% tied back from what ive seen the most, but does anybody have an actual line pressure number to go off of? 80% on my valvebody and 80% on anybody else's is 2 different line pressure numbers

I think I'm having the same issue as you. Just haven't gotten back to the computer to get it working. Glad to know I'm not the only guy out there
