Yeah ill fire it up this week, run it for a while to find any leaks, and eventually paint/wrap piping.

And someday get those headstuds in

I have those same head studs that can't seem to make their way on the engine.

Yeah putting studs in isnt nearly as fun as building piping!


Got it fired up. Has a leak from the 351-hotpipe vband, sort of expected. Flange warped a bit when welded, tried to flatten it out some on the disc sander but didnt want to take too much material away. Ill try some foil, maybe a copper gasket.

Sure makes the engine bay look complete

Its temporary until i round up some more piping to build the downpipe.

It makes for a good tuning tool also!

Ok, so not ruining your hood then? I know it's to each his own, just really liked this build so far, hate to see it ruined with a hood stack to retard wheels!

No i wouldnt hack up this hood. I just pulled it off for now. Staying with the old school 15x10 wheels also..... been picking up used 33” a/t’s dirt cheap from local tire shops.

Custom Clutch material seems to be sealing up the 325k mile junk VB bores
