straight wired PCI and CAN buss to the OBD2? I've heard nothing good tell your post. Thanks of the responce. I'm at the point of purchasing a ecm for the project and was about to run a 05.

its my understanding that you cant communicate with a 06 ecm on a bench. so my impression is a repined harness and an ecm still wont work...
Really?....
I have seen first hand the conversion work and make smooth power and the street manners are incredible. We still have alot of tuning left and have produced very nice numbers with the truck with the conversion.

I understand the potential of EFI Live. I assume you the 06 engine harness and pinned out the OB2 straight to the ECM?

We had one individual’s conversion we couldn’t communicate with EFI Live even after triple checking the harness. We were left to assume it was TIPM module played a major communication roll...

you didn't try hard enough, smart enough. when done properly, everything works except cruise control, and there is a check engine light. It can even be done neatly, no one wants a hack job wire harness to look at, tucked and wrapped professionally makes for a nice touch, looks factory under hood.

Who’s Andy? I love to hear about 06 conversions BUT I haven't find them. Everyone is running a 05 ECM. Maybe wiring is that confusing?

Could you name the band?

Its not done yet, the engine still on the run stand. I believe the cruise control can be fixed if you know the switched ground resistance of all the functions. On/Off Set,Resume ect. is all on one wire through 03 and up.

Knowing that there is successful conversions running I’m willing to gamble on a 700$ ECM.

The truck has a custom built harness and is running a second ECM off of it.

Only issues we have right now is a check engine light due to multiple ECM's and no cruise control. Those issues may be worked out later but I am a owner who doesn't care about them anyway. We made 918 on fuel and 1152 on spray. The truck is very street friendly and can be driven with alot less low end smoke than it was previously.

Lots more tuning to go as I feel we just tapped what can be done with the truck and I am looking forward to seeing how the summer goes.

I could only image what that harness looks like. Sounds like a good time though. I’m looking for information regarding conversions IE Fummins swap and communication to the 06 ECM. The ECM can be calibrated on a sister truck or a bench harness, this isn’t important anymore. After a little bit of research for communication on the OBD2, I believe I found out why the other guy was unable to communicate via stand alone ECM on OBD2. TIPM module has a terminating resistor built in for CAN B, C, and PCI buss. Everything I've read about the TIPM is that it doesn’t direct or control communication but has the paths available. Now if I just could figure out why it’s considered a "dominate node"...

the harness looks like it came that way from the factory, it is neat, and all wrapped, tucked, and looks likke no added clutter what so ever. I got a possible buyer for the injectors I am selling, if they go, off I go to get set up for efi.

I wish I could find some info for modifying my painless harness to work with an 06 ECM it already is set up to do 03-05 with just the switching of a few connectors. It also has a plug in for an apps pedal already
