Factory fuel pump question ???
What are the signs of a fuel pump going out , or do they just stop working all at once?

There's a few. Engine will fail to start. Run poorly, pop and buck under certain conditions, etc. obviously it's best to check lift pump pressure with a gauge to see actual numbers. An aftermarket lift pump such as AirDog is never a bad choice as a step up from factory.

I am trying to figure out if my lift pump is going bad or if its the cp3 issue. When doing a short wide open throttle run it will fall flat on its face. As soon as I lift off the throttle its back to normal. I will try to get a gauge on the lift pump to see if my pressures are good.

Plug the rail relief valve to test or replace with a known good PRV.

I just read a post by you about three threads down about a fuel rail prd made by T&C. Who are they and where do I find info on them and their products. Thanks for the help and info.

Wouldn't it throw a code if the PRV was cracking open? Mine does this exact same thing. I figured it was low FP but I haven't put a gauge on it either.
