A friend of mine has an 03 frieghtliner sprinter van with a 2.7 Mercedes diesel. It will start only on starting fluid, but that's it. The fuel system is ok, they put all new lines, filter, and lift pump on it. Once it starts it runs great, but we can't figure out what's wrong with it. Even after it has warmed up and has been driven for a few hours it still won't start without starting fluid. Any help would be great!
