auto guys

Auto guys that pull, are you using factory tranny coolers. Would putting a small electric fan mounted on factory tranny cooler help or is it waste of time to keep temps down. My temp's rise when at line spooling and at end of track are at 220-240deg. I have to change fluid every 3-4 pulls. I know putting aux coolerunder bed with fan would help.

I use the factory cooler and my temps are only around 200 degrees at the end of the hook.
My mechanic put a fan on his trans cooler and says it helped especially in in town driving, he doesn't pull but I'm sure it would help when going down the track.

Did he just put an electric fan right over factory cooler, I think it would have to help alittle. I could turn it on before I start to pull, I just want to try to keep it a little lower than what it is getting.

Yes he did. It covers the top to nearly the bumper, seems to work. I may put one on mine as well.
