Crappy set of paddles I borrowed. Needed bigger diggers. Only got 2 passes fastes was 4.5. Pretty slow. Was fun to try. Post videos once they load.

Anything done to it? Spool? Aftermarket axles? Mine is LS.

I've been abusing my 70 in my 4wd truck for years. Never had an issue but I've only hooked to the sled a few times.

Dirt drags are fun but a 2wd truck would be tough to compete with unless you have your own class

Can't you just restack the factory clutch plates in the rear? Maybe stick an ARB in the back?

Right now it works good. Matt has the other short box and he killed like 3 70s so gave up and that was only at like 600hp. He put an 80 in. His weak point was the spider gears would grenade. Id like the 70 as it's lighter but no one makes a spool for one. I'm planning on a 9" once I back half it but that will probably be next winters project so want to make the 70 work for now.

Might just stick my C&C 80 in it so I can tuck tires a little better and not worry about it.

I was thinking about welding it since the spiders were the issue. Disc break was my next thought.

I blew the spiders on a D80 on the first hook. The open spiders are decent, the posi spiders are very problematic.

That's why I'd like a spool or weld it. Curious if anyone makes a disc brake conversion for the C&C

Best bet would be to buy a wheel shell and have a center welded in at the backspacing you need

Haven't been able to find a place to do something like that. Where do I start?
