Fuel cell question

I recently purchased a 15 gal. fuel cell from summit racing to put in my bed and replace the factory setup. I noticed that insid it had foam laying in it. I called summit and ask if it was supposed to be in there and if it was ok to use with diesel. They gae me the ok. I want to know how many of you guys are running fuel cells with it in them and if you have ever experienced any problens with it?

Thanks Matt

take the foam out, diesel will eat through it, and you will have a stuck fuel filter(s) in no time

I figured it probably wouldn't be a good idea to leave it in there. I wanted to see what some you thought. I figure it wouldnt hurt it to not have it in there. I'll have to 1/2" vents on the top to relieve pressure.

You may be fine with straight pump diesel, but if you add any sort of cetane booster or other additives, it will start to break down. I would remove it. JMO

Remove it!! Plenty of us have ran into the foam being eaten up by diesel and clogging lines and filters. TAKE IT OUT!! Lol

Hmmm, maybe thats an issue i have over looked. I have run a fuel cell for years and the foam seems to be okay. I will pull it out and have a look at it.

Did you guys have trouble with the fuel slashing around to much and creating any problems?

Thanks for all you info.
