grid heater plate

If I'm not mistaken the second battery is only for the grid heater as it takes tons of power to heat it and if it has a block heater you should be good to at least 25 without any hard starts.
 
My 24v has been single battery since 2009, only issue starting has been when the battery died. Started fine using the grid heater after work with highs of -20's one winter.

Single battery with no grid heater here. Been fine down to 14°. Only 16-17 degrees of timing though. I would imagine a CR would be fine.
 
My Avalanche has only one battery and no grid heater, either. It started fine Christmas weekend when it was -3*.

Sorry, just wanted to feel like I was part of the conversation again…..:hehe:
