Auto cal issues. Any help is appreciated

I bought a 08. It is deleted etc. Went to load in the tune and one loaded and the other wouldn't? Error in picture. Nice truck 100k miles today.. still has the plastic on the carpet. Thanks for your replies.

The tune might not be compatible with the V3. I haven't used a V3, but I would first see if there is a firmware update and get it updated first, then try again.

I'll have to wait until Monday I guess. I wouldn't know the first thing about updating the firmware. The place I bought it from loaded the tunes onto it, pretty reputable shop. Just didn't know if there was a quick fix.

Is the tune you tried to load one that they just sent to you?

Pretty easy to download the EFI software onto your laptop, then plug the Autocal in and check for updates

One of two things, the autocal is on an older firmware version, or the tune was saved using a v2 using an older firmware version.

Download the latest v8 software and make sure the autocal has the latest firmware, if problem persists have the tuner resave the file using a device on the newest firmware.

The shop sorted the problem out
The 5 setting switch is cool and the exhaust brake is way more aggressive.
I have a ton of questions, if anybody could help that would be great.
I ordered some trans tuning. I believe it will be from hp tuners (ordered local). With the tuning, I am wondering if that is like the BD pressure kits that are like the inline wiring. Will the tuning change the same thing?

What are other quirks with the 08 and the 68 trans? Any valve body issues or easy upgrades during a service?

What all would you do for a fun daily 600hp truck? Not against a 2nd gen swap or I hear of other options about mounting a s300 in the same location as stock also.

With the tuning I have on stock injectors and turbo, I feel like there is a alot left on the top end after watching the gauges. What are power limits on that factory vgt turbo?

What is the opinion on the fleece drop in factory style lift pump?

So many questions coming from a fun driving 12 valve to modern computer stuff.
Could I data log the truck on that autocal or something and have the shop dial the tune in more?
Any opinions or help? I sure appreciate it.

Trans tuning will be more in depth than just pressure added. Generally the shift strategy is adjusted to lock overdrive out until you get up closer to highway speeds. Generally makes for a much more lively feeling truck.

As far as turbo upgrades, if you like the factory exhaust brake, do a Fleece Cheetah. It's a factory replacement style drop in. But supports 700ish hp.

If losing your exhaust brake isn't an issue, 2nd gen swap it and be done. Turbo sizing will depend on what you use the truck for and if you plan on staying stock fuel. I'd never do smaller than an s400 frame on a 6.7. Done plenty with 463 swaps from Fleece on stock fuel and the customers absolutely love them.

I honestly really like the exhaust brake. Especially on the interstate.
I could see myself adding a stroker pump if that's needed more than a stock one with the horsepower goal in mind (600 650hp), or just add a little bigger injector.
The truck will not be towing anything but a 17 ft tracker fishing boat and not very far.
Which turbine on the 463?

If you like the exhaust brake and 600 is the goal, I'd stick with an upgraded drop-in like the cheetah.

For 600hp a stock cp3 may or may not get you there, but a set of 45% overs would be my first purchase fuel wise to get there.

If you do decide to 2nd gen swap, 463/83/.90 will light great.

Got the transmission tuning in it. Have any where from 140 to 160 psi shifting through forward gears and 200 psi in reverse? The shift firmness seems different every time I drive it.
I bought a bd pressure control trans kit for the valve body, separater gaskets etc. Hopefully they can add some line pressure to the tune after that.
Will napa trans filters do the job? At+4?

Not sure what filters everyone has the best luck with, but I believe the nipple for the internal spin on has a tendency to crack. ATF +4 should be correct.

If you bought the BD kit, I don't think you're supposed to run the full kit with trans tuning. Just install the VB parts and not the pressure fooler

I got the kit without the fooler, bought some accumulaters from sonnax with the updated plate. Also a stainless filter adapter.

Anything else I can do while I'm in it? Is the deep pan worth the money?

I read some of the aftermarket filters like to bleed back?

Got the separator kit installed along with those accumulator pistons. 100k miles and the trans had never been serviced.
With the trans tune before the kit, I was only seeing 150 psi line pressure, after the kit its averaging 225 psi and a blip of 250 psi right at the shifts. Totally different truck..

hopefully they can raise my shift points at minimal throttle input still though?

What's next. It needs more power! I'm over the exhaust brake. Help. Thanks
