I hear you, lookin for one myself, think Im gonna have to bite the bullet and buy one. I wish some one could provide a measurement like what stroud wants. Cheaper to buy directly.

what does this do for the truck? quiet it down?

Its for safety. In case a clutch or flywheel comes apart it will help retain the debris.
