68RFE standalone
I am looking for what all is needed to run the 68RFE with a 6.7.I talked to Ron at Suncoast couples weeks ago about it and he said i need the TCM and the ECM out of a 6.7 truck to make them work. Looking for any insight

From what I understand, 07.5-09 has a ECM and separate TCM, 2010-up the ECM and TCM are one unit on the side of the block.

Chase why in the world would you want to put a 68 in anything standalone? 48re for performance or an allison if you want 6 speeds. We have not really dove into the electronics of a 68 but I imagine that the tcm would have to see the tps signal as well as engine speed to function correctly.

I can get a package deal on motor trans and tcase. I am not worried about performance when i get to the point to install it. I dont care for the allison and I will be setting up the 48re with a standalone when i get home in my wifes truck

The rolling chasis is an 04 but I am not sure what motor chase is going to put in it.

IMO, there is no way I would spend the dough on getting the 68 to work bc it will be a pita to get it to work. Sell the 68 and buy a 47/48 and put it behing the 6.7, believe me.....it's nice

From what i have seen they are not that expensive on parts.I want a 6speed i already have a 47rh in the truck now
