Smarty or H&S

I have been looking to get rid of my pmt ever since it screwed my truck up, but dont know which tuner to go with the H&S or The smarty? im looking for decent power gain and as much smoke as i can get. I will be adding more mods in the future as well.

FWIW either will work well on your truck, both have cleaned up their tunes and shouldn't make excessive smoke

I wish my truck didn't smoke at all

Make up your mind on what you want. Then decide which website to post your needs.

If anyone doesn't like smoke they should buy a gasser.

They don't do EFI live for my truck so can't comment there but I sure enjoy the performance outta my black maxx...and I haven't got as far as the MCC they released today which allows custom tuning.

You should tie a trash bag around you head as tight as you can so the stupidity won't leak out anymore!

That all depends on what you call "decent"! With EFI, I have built a tune that puts me just over 500 to the ground and absolutely NO SMOKE! I love it for DD and towing, EGT's don't go over 1100deg. And the name of this forum is Competition Diesel, not blow as much smoke as you can diesel. Remember, smoke means unburnt fuel, that equals a loss in efficiency/power.

- seems like I mighta been speakin my mind a bit last night

Can't view the vid here but all I can say is great if people can make power without smoke, 500 is impressive with no smoke - haven't seen that before...but I ain't seen everything. I personally don't try to 'make' smoke but my truck does smoke now and again and it's humerous how people get upset about it - hence the comment about gassers.

Back on track to the question, as mentioned I enjoy my Black Maxx and if you want to make smoke then go ahead. My buddy runs a smarty and has a little over 900 at the wheels - and his makes a LOT of smoke

I am completely against blowing black smoke in a street application but if you're talking about the formation of soot this statement is not true.

Be honest with ya, every single 6.7 that had come in with a blown head gasket or stretched head bolts has had a Bully Dog or H&S. And STOCK turbo. Havnt had a smarty tuned truck blow a head gasket YET. I'm sure it's bound to happen but evey person I've sold a smarty to usually keeps the power down low or had a 366-472 charger and head studs.
