single turbo or twins?

truck is a 4500 with a 6speed manual. its just a towing truck that pulls a 43 foot goose. the truck will have supporting mods to go along with whatever route is decided. so second gen steed manifold with stock? a single aftermarket turbo maybe 62? twins turbos and what ones? thanks

Depends on how much wrenching you want to do. Fleece has a drop in turbo that still keeps the factory exhaust brake...which could be a huge plus for towing. You could install an aftermarket mani and a 66mm turbo which will flow a good amount of air, but you will lose the exhaust brake. You could install twins which is the most expensive option but will give you great spool up with tons of air. Only problem is the stock turbo has a very restrictive turbine housing so you could see higher DP.

The h&s tune on wild is 60hp I believe that being said. Is it kinda like reinventing the wheel with putting the twins on because it will be so little on the tune will I notice a difference?

If you have ever pulled the same trailer with the same truck, before with a single (stock or not) then put some compounds on, you would never have to ask this question.

What kind of budget do you have to work with. That's the first question. A nice single cost much less and will do good. But twins will do better, for more money of coarse.

On a 5.9 yes. On a 6.7 no. Completly different turbo needs.

Not to mention rod failure due to such low end high boost.

Will it matter on injectors? 12v or 24v?

My budget is 10k I need to make the most efficient truck without the factory crap easy to work on if a turbo blows up or head gasket blows so I don't have a lot of down time.

Box stock 366 would tow like a beast on a 6.7. I run a 472 on mine, and it has no problem towing 15k on a goose. I wouldn't bother with twins, and would think a 62 would be kind of small.

66 would be better probably.
Next little question should I leave injectors stock or see if they can do ones for better mileage?
