Making better piston

I have maybe stupid idea to make the original piston bowl to bigger bowl(like in marine pistons 155). I have new Mahle pistons in stock bowl but I will use 370 injectors.
I take my old piston and saw it into halves to make sure ther is no empty spases inside. Its full material.
Did enyone made this cind a thing befor?
