Torque converter trade or rebuild?

I bought a triple disc tow unit with a few other upgrades that I specified that I would be using to tow ~10-15k and that I wanted it a little tighter than stock. I'm not sure what the stall is on it, but it's just too tight for my use. I have a hell of a time getting my stock turbo to spool with the trailer on the back. Sometimes when I have to stop on a hill it takes me a good 10-15 seconds just to get moving again. I've tried numerous settings on my smarty from stock to TNT1 with all sorts of different timing and fuel settings. I'm extremely happy with the transmission (shifts are firm and excellent, with minimal hunting, and I never see trans temps above 180*F measured in the hot cooler line even when towing in the mountains in 90+*F weather) other than this, and the issue I do have is my fault, since I specifically asked for it to be that way.

My question is, what's it going to take for me to get a TC with a more suitable stall speed? I'm a couple thousand miles away, so I can't just swing by, or I would have a long time ago. I've put about 30k on it so far.

Thanks in advance

Ryan

I will get you fixed up. My converter's have a three year unconditional warrantee with a free stall speed change during that three year period. 404 557 4972 if you have any other questions.

Just another of the many reasons that I chose Jeff for my transmission even though he's 2000 miles away.

Thanks Jeff. I'll give you a call soon.
