Sounds like those bolts are not being properly torqued at the factory when they are assembling the engine or when they are installing it in the truck...

The truck now has 25,000 miles give or take. A few additional updates:

The fuel economy is up. Towing average is around 14 now. Empty is averging 16-17.

The transmission has had multiple reflashes to get it shifting properly. Its much better, but far from perfect.
Nissan has a ton of torque managment in this truck.

Silly things like the tailgate release, a window motor, and a seat belt latch had to be replaced. Typical first year bugs in a new model.

At 15k miles I was ready to trade it off. Now it has settled down and I have changed my outlook. The truck has not given us any trouble lately and the ride, the brakes, and the overall comfort is really good.

The Cummins ISV could be a great success if regens, egr, and urea wasnt part of the package. Double overhead cams, aluminum constructed heads and the fast spooling twin turbos are a great design.

Maybe tuning could solve most of the issues you see in the isv

Its still a love/hate relationship with the Titan XD. The wife loves it. I am neutral on it. It tows great, but has anemic power on regular driving. Lots of issues with shifting and throttle response. Mileage increased to roughly 15.5. We have 36K on it.

Would not buy another one. There is yet another reflash to help power and shifting. Its at the shop getting that done now.

When I reviewed a Titan XD, I didn't like the shifting either... Seemed to hunt a lot on grades even unloaded...

Sub'd for more updates. Was looking at one of these the other day, leaning more toward getting another 2500 or 3500 ram instead to replace the 12v now that the family is too big to all fit in my truck. Was hoping for more positives though with this truck guess it will take some more time to work out the bugs since they have a torque monster compared to what they are used to under the hood

Picked the truck up from the dealer on Friday night. Even with the latest flash, it is still way too slow and anemic for my taste. In tow mode it is better though. The engine seems to come alive.

If you slow down and need to accelerate back to speed, forgot it! It just falls on its face and wont power up for at least 3-4 seconds. Pretty dangerous. I have been sitting in intersections with this turd several times.

I have no clue why Nissan cant get this issue resolved. They are talking engineers looking at it now. I want to trade it off.

I just heard yesterday that Nissan got the contract for cummins engines and they plan to build an actual 3/4 ton truck now. I'm not sure how true this rumor is though. Hopefully they can figure out what's up with your truck. I changed the oil on one of these for a friend a few weeks ago. Other than having to remove the shields to get to things, it looked pretty nice under there.
